How do I remove a student, or a move a student to another class?
  • To remove or move a student from your class, please use the contact form at the base of this page to let us know what the details of the change are. The student’s progress will be saved and they will continue from where they left off. We will action the change as soon as possible and get back to you by email when the change is complete.
  • The student will then be able to log back into Journi and continue as normal. They will not have to restart Journi.
A teacher has left, or I need to replace the teacher of a Journi class. How do I do that?
  • If you need to change a teacher of a Journi class, please contact us using the contact form at the base of this page with the following information:
    • i. Your school name in full
    • ii. The current (leaving) teacher's full name and email address
    • iii. The new teacher's full name and email address
  • We will action the change to the class as soon as possible, and get back to you with an email when complete.
I'm a teacher having trouble logging in. What should I do?
  • If you are having trouble logging in, you should first try the 'Forgot password' option located at https://journi.tmr.qld.gov.au/forgot-password
  • If you have forgotten the email you used to register with Journi, you will need to contact us using the contact form at the bottom of the page.
What happens if I can't find my school in the 'Schools' list when I register?
  • To find your school in the 'Schools' list, simply start typing the name of your school in the auto-search box. The more letters you type, the easier it will be to find the name of your school.
  • As schools open/close they may be added/removed from the list. If you still cannot find the name of your school, please fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page and we'll add it as soon as possible.
My email address isn't being recognised. What can I do?

Journi is now available to all email domains to ensure that parents and students studying from home can use it. However, it is recommended that teachers register for Journi using their work email address, which will assist in setting up a digital ‘classroom’ within the program for ease of use when using it with students.

If your work email address is not registering, please contact us using the form at the bottom of this page to have it confirmed and added.

My student/s has forgotten their password. What do I do?
  • You can easily reset student passwords in the teacher dashboard.
  • To do this, first select 'View' next to the student's name. Now you are on the student's profile page, select the 'Edit Student' link below the student's name. Here you can reset the student's password by entering the new password in the 'Reset Password' and 'Confirm Password' text fields. Select the 'Update' button to confirm the change of password.
Why can't my students reset their own passwords if they have forgotten?
  • Forgotten password or password reset facilities usually require a user email address. Journi does not collect student email addresses for security reasons.
  • The Journi teacher dashboard provides a quick and easy way to reset individual student passwords.
Can I add or remove Journi coins for individual students in my class?
  • You can add Journi coins to individual student profiles using the teacher dashboard. To do this, first Select 'View' next to the student's name. On the right-hand side of the screen you will see a yellow Journi coin with the student's current total of coins. Select the '+ Add coins' button to the right of this total. Now enter the number of coins you wish to allocate to the student. Select 'Add coins' to complete the transaction.
  • You cannot subtract or remove coins from individual student profiles.
